My experience at World Watersports and Divers Direct (the world’s largest retailer of scuba diving equipment) gave me great exposure into building and growing the number one web site for scuba diving equipment. This business background and customer service philosophy will serve Roatan Vacation Rentals Customers well whether I am taking care of your house or making your vacation one to remember. My name is Jimmie Johnson and I’m a true native of Roatan. Growing up on the island has been a wonderful experience. I have spent time working in a wide array of jobs ranging from electronic repairs to being on a ship. Three years ago, I starting working for Roatan Vacation Rentals where I mostly deal with guest interactions and reservations along with other things. Working here has been challenging and fun and have learned a lot along the way.
My wife Melissa and I made our very first trip to Roatan in 2010 and fell in love with this beautiful Island as soon as we stepped off the plane. We came back later that year to look at property and bought some building lots. The following year we came with our 3 daughters Hayley, Hagan and Hannah and spent the summer. While waiting to get on the plane to go home, we did not want to leave and knew then that Roatan would be our home. After many years of patience, and many trips down, here we are! I am a proud member of the Roatan Vacation Rentals Team.
I retired from my previous job as a Sr. PM in the US after 30 years, 1 month and 2 days of service with my background in Electrical Project Management. I have been involved with all types of construction from Health Care Facilities, Power Generation Plants, Industrial, Laboratory and Research, Educational and other projects. I believe that with my background, I will be an asset to RVR for many years to come. If you see me around, feel free to strike up a conversation. Originally from the Netherlands but I have been living on Roatan on off for many years now. I am a sailor, graduated as a furniture maker, have a background working as a carpenter and worked as a contractor in Europe. This mix fitted perfectly to join our maintenance team at Roatan Vacation Rentals. We inspect the properties and if there are any issues, we are the ones to help out providing high quality maintenance and repair and ensure a smooth and comfortable stay.
Born and raised on beautiful Island of Roatan. Graduated from UNAH in La Ceiba as professional nurse and worked for 8 years as nurse managing and NGO in the rural area of Honduras. Decided move back in 2017. The idea of coming back to peace, tranquility and the natural beauty of my home town was not a tough decision to make, so I did.
Joined Roatan Vacation Rentals December 2017, my job mainly is house keeping supervision and inventory control of the condos at Lawson Rock; it has been nice to work with a staff from different walks of life, it makes for great learning and working experience.
Born and raised in Roatán Kiana works on reservations, front desk, handles local errands, vacation rentals inventories, guest arrivals and departures.
Greetings, my name is Alyssa McBride, born half Honduran part Belizean with 23 years of age from the small community of Consolation Bight area of Roatan, Bay Islands. Graduated from Methodist Bilingual Institute in 2017 with a title in BTP accounting and finance and now currently fulfilling my last college trimester at the UNAH getting a degree in Administration and generation of companies. I joined Roatan Vacation Rentals in mid-December of 2021, with the position of Accounting Assistant where I’ve been gaining more experience and great knowledge every day.
I am Dennis Hill, born and raised on Roatan. Growing up on the island one can face many adversities, I have been fortunate to strive through these, and learn. I’d say that everything I’ve been through has landed me here – the beginning of my career path. I started to work at this business when I was 19 years old as an Assistant in the Accounting Department. I was granted the opportunity to perform multiple tasks, intensify my skills, and grow. Leading me into exceling amongst the crowd. After a few years, an opportunity was presented before me, to serve as the Controller – at the beginning it was challenging but my determination to learn the business from within was greater than any fear.
When not working I enjoy quality time with friends, volleyball, learning and growing. I like to think that we’re here for a reason and everyone must live their season.
Liz is originally from England and has lived here for many years now. She was previously a dive instructor all over the world before joining the Property Management industry in her favorite place of Roatan. Liz takes care of Reservations, Customer Arrivals and Departures, and Concierge Services.
Originally from Olanchito, Yoro. Maria moved to Roatan thirteen years ago and has been working in Housekeeping for Roatan Vacation Rentals for three years.
