A Strong Community in Urgent Need

Guanaja
Guanaja suffered a disastrous fire this past week, incinerating about 40% of the community’s buildings. The fire began on the evening of October 2nd and forced hundreds of people to evacuate. Thankfully, the fire was controlled and extinguished with everyone evacuated safely without any major injuries.
As you can imagine, Guanaja is now in need of our support. There are various business and organizations coordinating donation drop-offs throughout the island of Roatan. They are collecting personal, food and household items along with monetary donations. If you are able to help, we ask that you do so.
The Rotary Club of Roatán in particular has offered to coordinate donations of cash and supplies and take them to those affected in Guanaja. We have partnered with the Make it Count Foundation, an American 501c3 charity so donations can be accepted by credit card and are tax deductible for donors from the United States.
All donations received will be used to finance the most immediate needs of the affected people in Guanaja.
