The Bayside community is a small, 6-unit development located on the northern end of West Bay Beach. You will love the proximity to dive shops, restaurants and bars, but also the privacy that the development affords you. Remember our vacation rental highlight called That’s A Moray? Owner Alex Rienhoff bought that slice of paradise in October last year as a winter escape from her regular residence in Baltimore, Maryland. “I have been visiting Roatan since 2002,” she says. “I came for the diving and I’ve made many friends along the way.”
Her home is located in the boutique gated community called Green Bamboo, located at the end of West End Village and tucked just off the extensive strip of beach between West End and West Bay. With only four homes in the community, you can rest assured that the community pool and “chill out area” is truly very chilled out.
Alex was attracted to the fun diversity of West End Village. “Roatan is one of the most friendly places I have been,” she says. “I love the West End area for its walkability. There are many restaurants to pick from, and whether it’s a high-end restaurant or a street vendor, the food is always good. The main attraction here is – of course – the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which is the second largest reef on the planet.”
