We also know that booking feels uncertain, so we’re taking away the risk. Cancel up to 48 hours prior to arrival — there’s no fee to reschedule.

COVID 19 Travel Cancellation policy for 2020

For bookings made and to take place from April 1st, 2020, until December 18th, 2020, our policy will allow for cancellation up to 48 hours prior to arrival. The rental amount paid can be used as a credit for a future rental for any dates in 2021 (rate changes for future dates would apply on 2021 re-bookings).

Resources for Giving Back

Crisis Food Drive


Several organizations have collaborated to distribute over 6,500 basic food bags in a COVID-19 Crisis Food Drive.

Roatan Vacation Rentals staff have donated around 50 bags so far, and each bag offers 2 weeks of food for a family of four.

One of our RVR trucks has been all around the island delivering food bags…it’s a full team effort here on the island!

You can support these efforts by donating to any of these organizations coordinating the donations and deliveries on-island:  Roatan Animal Support has been accepting donations and distributing them around the island. Here’s our donation waiting at the door of the Roatan Vacation Rentals office last week:

Protecting the Reef


The Roatan Marine Park rangers are working around the clock to protect the reef and delicate ecosystem we all love so much.

With tourism at a complete halt, their funding has dropped dramatically. You can help keep rangers out there protecting the reef so you have a vibrant ecosystem to come back to…someday.

Providing Medical Support to the Bay Islands


The Bay Islands’ doctors and medical staff are asking for your help. While there have been no confirmed cases in our islands, we need to be prepared for that eventuality.
 
We need to secure the medicine and medical equipment that will be necessary if this pandemic reaches our shores.

The cost to purchase and bring the necessary supplies is considerable. The Bay Islands government has identified what is necessary to buy and where it can be purchased. They have also identified the means to transport it here.

What the Bays Islands need now is the financial support to allow this to be accomplished.
