Our promise to you

Updated Cleaning Protocols from Roatan Vacation Rentals

We have always been committed to the highest standards of cleanliness in our vacation rental properties. In this new era of cautious travel, we are ever more aware of the need for transparency with our guests for peace of mind.

Rest assured that our staff has been working hard to improve our operations with updated training and procedures to optimize cleaning protocols for your safety. This includes, among other updates, thorough sanitizing and disinfecting while our cleaning staff wears gloves and a mask.

We are being particularly cautious of commonly touched areas like doorknobs and handles and we recommend all guests disinfect those touchpoints throughout their stay.

Vacation Home vs Hotel Stay

While we are (obviously) biased here at Roatan Vacation Rentals, we thought it might help to share some insights on the benefits of staying in a vacation home.

In this article from People.com, experts comment on the safety aspect of staying in a home where you can mostly isolate from others. Hotel staff and other guests within shared spaces make social distancing more challenging.

From the article:
Short-term house rentals are one of the most attainable low-key vacation options — and one of the safest, according to Dr. Robert A. Norton, a professor of Public Health at Auburn University and a member of several coronavirus task forces.

Renting a whole house via platforms like Airbnb and VRBO means you won’t be encountering other guests or staff during your stay as you might in a hotel.

“We are thrilled to be adding Roatan to our ever-evolving list of vacation destination options for Minnesotans to enjoy and believe there is significant demand for low-cost, nonstop service to this great destination,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney.
