Semana Santa is over and no longer do tourists crowd the island. Again we can enjoy the beautiful shades of blue from the ocean and land that is deep green and punctuated with flowers. Our clear and warm white-sand beaches had a busy last week of March thanks to all the exciting events that went on during Semana Santa.
Some great news this month is Roatan is featured onAmerican Airlines Magazines front cover, the Caribbean Island Paradise in the Bay Islands of Honduras is only a short two-hour non-stop flight from the USA.
The complete list of direct flights to Roatan can be seen below:

FEATURED RESTAURANT
Over the upcoming months we will feature a new “Featured Restaurant” in Roatan. There is such a wide range of amazing restaurants and food options, we throught it was time we started to tell you about our favorites.
You can also view our complete restaurant guide by clicking here:
– Sundowners Beach Bar, West End
It has been said that “if you don’t have a beer while watching the sunset at Sundowners, it’s like you have never visited Roatan”. The local champa style beach bar is somewhat a local icon in West End and attracts locals, expat residents and tourists. With the beach literally meters from the bar you are not going to find a more idlyic beach bar location. West End has a great advantage over other parts of the island as you can watch the sunset right over the water and in this case in the middle of Half Moon Bay. As for the food and drinks, the bar menu is your reguarly bar items, burgers, wings, wraps and occassionally rips. As for drinks, the friendly staff will mix you up a tropical cocktail or grab you a cold beer. A favorite for visitors to try is the Monkey LaLa, but be warned one may not be enough. Whether for a few drinks before dinner or a lazy day at the beach, be sure to put Sundowners on your list of “must go places”.
