Helping our Community: CATTLEYA

CATTLEYA is a local organization working toward helping children with disabilities become as independent as possible. CATTLEYA’s new Executive Director, Justin Lee Romero, is already pushing forward with a few projects that we strongly support. We would love to see our friends and guests support this work if possible.

The first new project is The Vocational Training Program. The goal of this program is to find job placements for those students who are able to work. By partnering with local businesses, Mr. Romero hopes to help give these kids opportunities for life after school, as well as to normalize the disability community within the Bay Islands community at large.

The second project is The Parent Center Program. The goal of this program is to help parents of children with disabilities by giving them access to resources, training, and support. This would be open to the community at large and will again help to normalize the disability community here in the Bay Islands.
