Easter Week is one of our busiest weeks in Roatan, the island is at full capacity with visitors from the USA, Canada, and the Honduran mainland. The beaches, restaurants, bars, and communities across the island come to life with Easter celebrations which last throughout the whole week and yes they have already started!

Visiting Roatan during Easter Week is an amazing experience, you get to experience all the energy and activities of the island, while also still being able to escape to quiet locations where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the slow pace of island life. It really is a week where you can enjoy two very different Roatan experiences at the same time.

West End

Enjoy the stunning ocean views from this spacious and well-constructed condo. Take in the cooling breezes and sunsets 365 days of the year! This turnkey 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo is located in the heart of West End. Amenities include a pool, parking area, and walk to everything location. Sunset Views 2A is located above Sunset Villas and within walking distance to dive shops, restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife.

As you walk into the condo you will notice the spacious and open floor plan that flows from the entry, into a kitchen with an island and then onto a dining area and living area that opens up to a covered patio all with a big ocean view. The bedrooms are private and both enjoy ensuite baths. The primary bedroom also has a slider to the covered patio and overlooks the pool and onto the ocean.  

The unit is well stocked for your stay with ample linens, a great kitchen, and much more. You will enjoy West End and its lively island vibe. Plenty of eating, drinking options. If your into water-sports lots to choose from in terms of snorkeling, diving, just beach going or try your hand at fishing or parasailing. Our concierge can help with making arrangements.

Casa Altas
We loved Casa Atlas.

It has everything you need in this well-built home and a nice pool to gather around with family and friends. It’s in a very nice quiet neighborhood for relaxing and sleep and next to the guard station and walkway to the community dock, beach, and pool area. We enjoyed the large TV screen and watched movies every night as they have lots of them and the kitchen is very large for a group of 9. The kids loved the pool and it was so fun to come home and jump in the pool after visiting both ends of the island for beach time and snorkeling, horseback riding, and a visit to monkey and sloths hang out. We took turns with the double kayak and there are 3 on the premise. We had most of our meals at home as it is a half-hour drive to most places, so we had lunches out or packed food with us. We enjoyed snorkeling at West Bay and Half Moon Bay and snorkeling out to the reef on a dive boat is a must. The Roatan Brewing Company is fun for lunch and has lots of toys for the kids. We had a few maintenance issues but Jimmie at property management got right on it whenever we called. The only downside in Roatan is the no -see -um bugs that bite at dusk and dawn. Many of our family did not get bites so I think they must like a certain blood type. I tried many sprays but long sleeves and pants or long dresses work best at night. I would definitely stay at this house again with my family if I return to Roatan.

Casa Coral
Sandy Bay

Casa Coral is a new 2 Bedroom beach cottage with a pool shared with one other identical home (Casa Palmera). Located in the Tropicana community of Sandy Bay Roatan. You are just a quick drive or taxi to the airport, groceries, and nightlife.  

The units are beautiful and professionally decorated. The main floor is open concept with a fully equipped kitchen, living area, and powder bath. We even have a washer and dryer for your convenience. The screened-in covered porch overlooks the pool and has a dining table for 8. 

As you move upstairs you will find two bedrooms with ensuite baths. The primary bedroom has vaulted ceilings, double vanity, a walk-in shower, and a private balcony. Bedroom number 2 features a bonus sleeping area with a queen and then a set of bunk beds as well as an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and another double vanity.

But enough about our amazing interiors. Let’s talk about location and amenities!  The shared pool and deck area features a large freshwater pool with tropical hardwood trees and a nice Weber BBQ. Another relaxation station is to head out to the communities private pier to watch the sunset or go for a swim from the white sand beach. It is a snorkeling paradise just offshore.  

Casa Palmera
Sandy Bay

Less than 1 minute to the white sand!  Casa Palmera is a new 2 Bedroom beach cottage with a pool shared with one other identical home (Casa Coral).  Located in the Tropicana community of Sandy Bay Roatan.

Fire Truck for Roatan

The Rotary Club of Roatan is the recipient of a Fire Truck through the Canadian Activists Passionate to Assist (CAPA), the Toronto Port Authority, and the Toronto Island Airport, which is specifically designed for airport service. The Club has decided to donate it to the Municipality of Roatan for use at the Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB) on Roatan, as there is a dire need to have a backup truck for the existing aging and decrepit vehicles at the airport.

We need your help! We are making arrangements to transport the firetruck from Toronto to Miami and from Miami to Roatan. We are working together with the municipality to get all the appropriate paperwork done in order to receive this generous donation, and need to raise approximately $25,000 to get it here.

The Rotary Club of Roatan appreciates any support you can provide. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in Fire Protection at the airport and on the island!
