Welcoming in September

Yes, we do say it a lot but it really is a great time to visit Roatan, as we head into the low season months, you find the beaches a little quieter, the pace of life slows down and the island takes a breath while we prepare for the upcoming high season.

The months of September to December provide a chance to visit the island as it returns to a lush green from the seasonal rains, you catch those amazing morning views of the mainland mountains and get to watch evening lighting storms offshore as they work their way along the coastline.

Returning again to Roatan in October is the Point 2 Point Cycling Event, which is in its sixth edition and brings more than 500 cyclists to Roatan to ride the 80km or 100km point to point route. This is a great event which has assisted in the growth of cycling as an activity on the island, so keep an eye out for it and the connected activities.
